“The Greatest Miss-Taken”
THE GREATEST MISS-TAKEN
“When a bride stumbles into her Southern wedding's far-off "bless-your-heart" bathroom, one woman becomes the sole witness to the events that follow and swears every word is the gospel truth. With hairspray in hand and trouble on her tongue, she unravels in a tale that proves being somebody's plus-one twice removed is a peril best left avoided.”
Director Statement : Behind “The Greatest Miss-Taken”
"I set out to create The Greatest Miss-Taken as an exploration of the uneasy space where performance becomes power, where charm holds a room hostage, menace wears the brightest of smiles, and even the humblest bathroom transforms into a stage if you choose to believe it.This is a film where strategy masquerades as politeness, where every glance is theater, and where an unsuspecting audience finds itself disarmed, complicit, and drawn into her favor. In this story, the furthest bathroom in the venue, known as the "bless-your-heart" bathroom, becomes a crucible not of innocence or redemption, but of control. The Greatest Miss-Taken is my cordial invitation to the audience: lean in, laugh, be unsettled, and recognize that by the time you realize you've been held hostage, it's already too late."
